Palm Springs Golf & Country Club. This prestigious club in Batam boasts a rich history, starting as a nine-hole course in 1989 before expanding to a full 27 holes in 1995. All the nines are what we call “Resort Style”.
A major reconstruction and redesign in 2002 transformed the Palm Course into one of the region’s most beautiful and challenging layouts. The golf course was hit hard by the covid pandemic. With a lack of investment and maintenance during this period leading to severe degradation of the fairways and greens. However, a recent visit in mid-2025 showed the course has done a great job returning the course to it’s former glory. Greens and fairways are once again in top condition.
The layout is great, plenty of risk/reward holes and some particularly beautiful holes along the Palm nine’s coastline. The clubhouse is a bit dated but has lovely views across the sea to Singapore. Tiger Beach Club & Restaurant sits right on the beach and is a great place to grab a meal and beer on the beach after your round.
The course is only a 5 minute drive to the Nongsapura Ferry Terminal, making it ideal for Singaporeans coming in by ferry.
